The Farmer's Table

Originally an annual dinner, the Farmer’s Table has expanded to support the growth of farming in our community through a variety of events and programs.  Under the auspices of Partners for Sustainable Healthy Communities, Inc, the Farmer's Table grew substantially expanding program offerings and support for our farmers.  It became clear that the Farmer's Table needed more infrastructure support to accomplish it's goals.   The PSHC board and key Farmer’s Table committee members agreed that it would be most effective and efficient for the Farmer’s Table to form its own 501c3 organization, which it has done. The transition to the new entity took place on January 1, 2025. Please visit www.farmers-table.org for more information.

Food Hub

Food hubs promote the viability of local agriculture by providing a central organization for farmers to access consumers in their region. SHC completed a feasibility study to assess the opportunity for establishing a Food Hub in Northwest Connecticut.
