2020 Annual Farmer’s Table Postponed
It is with great regret that we let you and the hundreds of generous attendees and sponsors of the Farmer’s Table know that our tenth anniversary celebration dinner in benefit of our farmers has been postponed to 2021. Therefore, no invitations are being mailed this year.
BUT we haven’t stopped working on expanding access to produce and product from Litchfield County’s working family farms.
And now, when the devastating impact of Covid 19 on food supply chains nation-wide has made our locally-grown food supply even more critical, Farmers Table initiatives—made possible by your generosity—have supported our farmers’ efforts at adaptability:
The times are especially grave today for hundreds of area families and our most vulnerable populations, the food insecure and the elderly, who are in real danger of going hungry. We have therefore allocated some funds from our 2019 dinner to purchase seasonal produce from local farms to go directly to Meals on Wheels and food banks. These organizations have seen unprecedented demand and are struggling to provide enough food for the growing numbers they now serve.
Please join us in supporting both our farmers and those in our communities who need their produce and product. Consider contributing what you may have paid for tickets to our canceled dinner to help us reach even more of the hungry. On behalf of our Litchfield County farmers and our residents in need, we thank you deeply for your continuing generous support
Your donations are fully tax-deductible. Either make a credit card donation below or mail a check to 501(c)3 Partners for Sustainable Healthy Communities, Inc., Box 607, Litchfield CT 06759, and note in the memo line that the donation is for the Farmers Table, a PSHC program.

And now, when the devastating impact of Covid 19 on food supply chains nation-wide has made our locally-grown food supply even more critical, Farmers Table initiatives—made possible by your generosity—have supported our farmers’ efforts at adaptability:
- The Torrington-based Northwest Connecticut Food Hub, aggregating produce from area farms to attract large buyers, is also offering drive-through farm shares to the public
- Purchase of CSA shares to provide fresh, seasonal vegetables through area nonprofits to those without access
- Underwriting ongoing professional agricultural and marketing education opportunities for farmers
- Documenting on film this moment in time when farmers are exhibiting their resilience and ingenuity in helping to meet our food needs.
