Richard Blumenthal visited Brookside Farm II on Friday afternoon as he and congressional colleagues urge the U.S. Food and Drug Administration to “crack down” on the labeling on maple-branded products, which often times do not actually contain maple.
The senator was given a tour of the syrup-making operation at the farm by Mark Harran, the owner of the property and the president of the Maple Syrup Producers Association of Connecticut. Read MORE
